Farnborough 1972

Two more views of these wonderful aircraft, Avro Vulcan XM574 being the one showing what it could do, including a roll which for such a large aircraft was very impressive.

RAF Avro Vulcans were used to bomb Port Stanley in 1982 during the 'Falklands War' when the Argentineans invaded the British Islands, known to the Spanish World as 'Las Malvinas'. If anyone has more details on these aircraft, XM574 and XM602 I would be happy to hear from you.

Avro Vulcan B2 Blue Steel XM574 was the first Blue Steel aircraft fitted from new with Olympus 301 engines
XM602 was scrapped in 1983 but the nose was saved.
